Best Practices
In order to serve our clients in a competent and effective manner, we adhere to the following practices when providing legal services. Deviations from these practices can occur if the matter or circumstances so require.
|
 |
Confirmation Letter. We commence our assignment with a letter to the client clarifying our assignment and containing a description of the client’s objective in the matter as well as a budget and timeline for the matter. We review the objective periodically and in consultation with the client, revise the objective if developments or circumstances so require.
Terms and Conditions. Prima Law Firm’s terms and conditions for provision of legal services are accessible via our website.
Client Awareness. To serve our clients in an effective and competent manner as well as comply with applicable law, we gather certain information regarding our clients. We do this by completing the firm’s registration form together with the client. We also gather financial statements, registration certificates and use net-based sources to achieve a suitable level of client awareness and knowledge of the client’s industry.
|
Budget. We prepare a budget with anticipated legal fees and expenses as well as a timeline for the matter. In consultation with the client, we review the budget and timeline periodically and revise as needed.
Status Reports. We provide the client with status reports two times per month unless otherwise agreed.
Billing. We invoice on a monthly basis, unless applicable insurance rules require otherwise.
Conclusion. We conclude the assignment with a letter to the client clarifying that our assignment has ended.
Escrow. Client funds are placed promptly into the firm’s client escrow account. We provide our clients with periodic accountings of client funds held in escrow.
Original Documents. We maintain a list of original documents in our possession and maintain such documents securely. We provide our clients with periodic accountings of the original documents in our possession. We return original documents to the client at the conclusion of the matter, unless the client requests such documents sooner.
